LNT Construction gave us the full external works package at Hatton Care Home, taking the site from the old road to the finished grounds. We started by breaking out an existing tarmac and brick road down to a depth of 1m and removing the contaminated ground beneath it, which gave the new works a clean, stable base. From there we installed new drainage, laid kerbing and built new footpaths, then finished the surfaces in tarmac and block paving. Landscaping completed the package, leaving the home with safe, accessible and well-finished outdoor spaces for residents, staff and visitors.
I’ve assumed the contaminated ground was taken off-site, so check that with Jim. If they hold the right waste licences or followed a specific disposal process, it’s worth saying so here, because it’s a strong selling point for principal contractors.
